I’ve worked for POPSUGAR for over six years. In my former current role as an Associate Editor on the Trending and Viral Features team, I produced a high volume of trending content and long-form viral stories across the network, supporting real-time trending events, and monitoring the web for trending topics. I also conducted original celebrity interviews, curated social copy, covering breaking news, and organized editorial destinations, like the network’s first-ever APIA Heritage Month hub, pictured above. I worked as an intern with the Salt Lake Tribune's Government and Politics team from September to December 2017. My main responsibility included compiling the press clippings or "cornflakes" for a daily newsletter. I also had the opportunity to write original articles, a couple of which are included below:

While an intern with Freshly Picked, I was responsible for monitoring social media, copy writing, and creating blog posts. The article pictured above is just one example of content I created, while drawing on the recommendations and experiences of current customers to make the post accurate and informative. My first experience as an editorial intern was with the entertainment news site Zimbio, under the umbrella of the mother company Livingly Media. While with Zimbio and eventually the lifestyle site Livingly, I assisted on the project "100 Hottest Couples of 2014", created interactive media, and wrote my own content, which was published to the site.
